Artists’ Painting Medium - Reduces consistency and increases luminosity & flexibility of the paint film. This medium slows the drying rate and resists yellowing. This is an ideal for oiling out & enriching dull patches. Oiling out involves putting some of the medium onto a lint free cloth and then gently rubbing the medium over the entire paint film. This evens out the gloss of the entire painting is a good process to follow prior to varnishing as varnishing can not be relied upon to even out the sheen of a painting. It can the variation in sheen will still be visible – oiling out evens this variation.
